Jasper Avenue

Breathing new life into downtown Edmonton.

For years this section of Jasper Ave has been sitting vacant. The owners of the Pendennis Building have a vision to breathe new life into this remarkable historic building. This area now channels the impressive architecture from the past and brings new inspiration and energy to a premium downtown location.

The Quarters

The area currently houses about 2,400 residents; however, at full development, The Quarters Downtown is expected to accommodate between 18,000 to 20,000 residents.

The area is planned around sustainable community design principles. A mix of land uses and development forms, appealing design, and green spaces are proposed to create a unique experience for residents and visitors.

Just down from the Pendennis Building is the Edmonton Convention Centre, the Fairmont MacDonald Hotel, Edmonton’s funicular that allows access to the river valley, Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre, the Art Gallery of Alberta, the Winspear Centre, and the newly renovated Edmonton Public Library – all within walking distance.
